Last March I had the pleasure of recording a tiny 8-year old Filipina girl form Batangas Philippines. She was a small and sleepish child when I walked in to start the recording session. Her benefactors arranged for a day of recording and wanted the session video-taped. Lucky us, they gave us permission to share the videos on our web site. Some information the sound of Beverly’s voice. This was her first time to be in a real recording studio and have a real recording session. We had her do two (2) takes of each song, from start to finish. After all, her sponsors only wanted to document her singing – not to have perfect takes. On these videos, it is all her voice – no tuning, no auto-tune – just a touch of reverb and a bit of compression is all we needed. She has a nice voice for a small girl. And she shows a lot of emotion in delivering lyrics of the adult-age songs in her repertoire. We are wishing you the best in the future Beverly. Keep it up.
