A Capella Manila is a choir composed of professionals and students from various schools, universities and companies in Metro Manila. We arranged to conduct a test remote recording session with them at a huge residence in Makati.

We brought our remote recording studio equipment and set-up a multi-track system by assigning one ribbon mic for each voice section Soprano, Tenor, Alto, Bass (STAB). We also set-up two stereo microphone systems, a Blumlein with Royer SF12 ribbon and a spaced pair with Peluso R14 ribbon to capture the stereo spread the room. Condenser mics by GrooveTubes were setup as the mic for the solo singers.

Here is a short video of the session, with photos of the set-up and the choir as well as audio clips of their music performance. The sound is raw and unedited, just very little balance adjustments on the faders.

Sound Weavers Remote Recording Studio is available for recording concerts by choirs, orchestra and bands at school theaters and auditoriums, church halls and performance spaces. We have the experience, knowledge and equipment to capture the fantastic sound and performances of groups of different sizes. The recordings that we capture can be edited in the studio at a later date for use as a commercial release CD or as the master audio to be synced to DVD video productions of the concert.
